Is this Loaded Language in the 2011 Calendar?
by maninthemiddle ini think it could be fair to say, that if paul spoke for jesus, then "revealed truth" could be a valid description since the scriptures say he visited them several times, but i think the loaded language comes in when you try to apply this to modern times, (wts a modern paul?).
i see this as trying to mold the first century to fit the current wts/jws.
what do you think?.

Contribution Boxes At The Book Groups , Did You Donate More There Than The Hall ?
by Hairyhegoat inthis may have been covered a few years back but the thought came to me just how much money the wathtower lost in contributions when they got rid of the book study groups in witnesess homes.
my book group was at my parents house and as it was always full, over 30 drones every tuesday night.
this caused mayhem in the road outside with all the cars double parking etc... the jw's at my group always put loads of wonga into the tin on the welsh dresser!

Aussie Fiji Brothers wear skirts but Sisters can't wear pants in winter unless skirt on too!!
by Witness 007 ina 55 year old sister would come to our hall straight from work and during winter would put a skirt over her pants to "show respect for jehovah's arrangement....yes, it she was not very stylish....at the same hall in summer a fijian brother would turn up in a multi-colored bright skirt with pictures of bannas and palm trees on it which everyone loved....same hall another aussie brother was told by elders his tie was "too bright and loud" for the platform and not to wear it on stage anymore!!!.
and they think i'm crazy for leaving!
in cold countries what's the rule for sisters wearing pants?....here it's like you've asked for a sex change!!

It's Official: I Engaged In Gambling For the First Time Ever Today!

i fed my money into it, and committed a "gross wt sin".
it felt quite liberating.

Australian Convention Pioneer family Experience - We found our vegetables in the gutter..why do they wanna be Martyrs?
by Witness 007 ina couple years ago district convention - a pioneer family with two kids explained how they had ran out of funds and had no dinner...as they turned the corner out witnessing they saw a vegetable truck had spilled some produce in the gutter and so "jehovah provided in our time of need..." i felt like yelling get a job you bum stop starving!!

this week an elder with pnemonia discharges himself from hospital, promising to remain home...so he can go out preaching!

I felt like yelling GET A JOB YOU BUM STOP STARVING!! Not encouraging. This week an Elder with Pnemonia discharges himself from hospital, promising to remain home...so he can go out preaching! Is there some competition with Witnesses as to who suffers the MOST for Jehovah...I always thought these people were idiots with some mental problems.
